Experiment, create and play together in KidScience, Discovery Place Science's early education exhibition for young children ages 0-7. This exclusive area will let even the littlest guest explore science through the power of play, inquiry and exploration. This interactive exhibit sparks imagination through hands-on play and discovery. At the building tables, little builders can create towering structures using soft foam blocks, DUPLOS and Magnatiles. The special Light Table lets them experiment with colors and light on an illuminated surface.
For those with energy to burn, the exhibit offers:
- • A racetrack to build and race Kids K'Nex cars
- • A wind tunnel maze to send colorful scarves whizzing through
- • A Wind Wall that blasts air, making you feel like you're soaring
If you're having fun, make some noise! Head to the sound wall to:
- • Thump out tunes on an oversized xylophone
- • Rattle rainsticks
- • Drum on percussion pots and pans
Cool off at the Water Table, where kids can pour, float boats, spin wheels and watch how water flows. Baby seats let the littlest ones splash safely.
The NanoZone is designed for children from birth to 36 months. It features a soft play area, an adventure bridge and laughing flowers that will have you giggling, too. When it's time for a break, the cozy Reading Nook invites families to share their favorite science stories together.
